The President of the University, Professor Dr. Hamid Al-Najdi, received in his office Mr. Haider Al-Maammar, Director of the Student Activities Department, to review the outcomes of the meeting of directors of student activities departments and divisions in public and private universities and colleges, which was held by the Student Activities Department at the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Apparatus of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. After reviewing the meeting's agenda, the University President received a copy of the second issue of "Nashati" magazine, which is published by the Student Activities Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The magazine highlights the achievements, activities, and ministerial competitions of public and private universities, colleges, and their students. His Excellency reviewed the university's ranking for the 2025-2026 academic year, which is sixteenth out of eighty-four public and private universities and colleges, advancing four places from the 2024-2025 academic year. Through the magazine, His Excellency also viewed the names of the university's outstanding female students in activities who achieved advanced positions. He directed that they be provided with support and care to develop their performance skills; they are student Zainab Mustafa Hammoud from the College of Arts, Department of English Language, who won first place in emceeing at the University Festival for Classical Poetry and Emceeing, and student Hawraa Hammam from the College of Dentistry, who won the award for Best Actress at the University Festival for Short Films. His Excellency also directed that copies of the magazine be distributed to the deanships of the colleges for their review and to support students who wish to participate in various student activities.
